Woman allegedly used two young girls to commit compelled rape

A 33-year-old woman, who used two young girls to commit compelled rape, is due to appear in the Brakpan Magistrates Court today (July 16).

The woman was arrested on Tuesday evening, after the Brakpan Police followed up information, in Mkhancwa Village, Brakpan.

It is alleged that she used two girls, aged 15 and 17, to commit the compelled (which means to force or oblige someone to do something)  rape.

“The girls were both taken for medical tests and it was discovered that both are using dagga,” said Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander.

The Brakpan Cluster Child Protection Unit is investigating.

The case has been postponed until July 23 so that the woman could file for legal aid.
