Murdered man’s identity still a mystery
The identity of a man who was found with a gunshot wound to the head, on Friday, is still not known.
Brakpan police requested that anyone with information should not hesitate to contact the investigating officer, WO Albert van Wyk, on 011 741 4800.
The body of the man was found on Friday morning, in Leachville, near Leeupan Dam.
The body was sighted by community members who alerted the EMPD.
The deceased, estimated to be in his early 40s and neatly dressed, appeared to have been killed execution-style.
Members of the community informed the police that they did hear a shot the previous evening, at around 7pm, during load shedding.
No form of identity was found on the body.
