Drifting season gets underway
The Rock Raceway circuit, in Brakpan, will see an invasion of drifters for the first round of The Cambees Midas Benoni, WOMZA South African Drift Championships series for 2014, that will be held on Saturday, February 1.
The exciting drifting will be accompanied by a group of international stunt artists from Italy, who will be performing various tricks with cars, such as driving on two wheels.
Not only will this be a first for the Rock Raceway, it will also be a first for South Africa.
On the drifting front, rookie drivers will battle it out in a Silver Cup division, should they not make the top 16 in the Gold Cup.
This allows novice drivers to gain valuable knowledge and experience.
The event promises to be a treat for any petrol-head.
So, get down to the Rock Raceway for some tyre-smoking action.
