Weapons, dagga found during search at local high school

Prohibited goods seized by police after surprise visit to Hoërskool Stoffberg.

Law enforcers descended upon Hoërskool Stoffberg last Tuesday morning to conduct a surprise search of the school.

The operation, overseen by Brakpan SAPS acting Vispol commander Lieutenant Colonel Anneline Naude, was conducted by SAPS Vispol and K9 units, the EMPD, Gauteng Traffic Police, CPF patrollers and the CPF armed reaction team.

Freedom Front PR Clr Riaan van Zyl was also present.

“Among the prohibited items found were tobacco vapes, a knife, cigarettes, dagga and other dangerous weapons,” said Brakpan SAPS communications officer Constable Audrey Buthelezi.

The items were seized and booked in at the Brakpan Police Station.
