This is after Life Dalview Hospital was recently announced as one of the top five emergency units in a nationwide Life Healthcare performance tracker initiative.
The local facility, even though classified as a small hospital, has been in the top-performing emergency units for some time now.
Hospital management is thrilled with the recognition.

The unit is rated regularly, along with other Life Healthcare facilities throughout South Africa on different criteria such as patient experience (based on how patients rate the service), quality of services, whether the unit is conducive to the environment and the qualifications of doctors and nursing staff trained in emergency medicine.
Training for these healthcare providers is repeated every two years. The unit provides advanced cardiac life support, advanced trauma life support, advanced paediatric life support, advanced airway management support and other life-saving medical care.
The unit, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment, is assisted by a complement of specialists such as a neurosurgeon, paediatricians, urologists and more.
Staff also have a good working relationship with emergency services personnel.
