Campbell back as Ekurhuleni executive mayor

EFF's Nkululeko Dunga withdraws from mayoral race after reportedly receiving a phone call.

After what must have been extensive negotiations with opposition parties, the DA’s Ald Tania Campbell was again voted as executive mayor of City of Ekurhuleni.

This follows the vote of no confidence tabled by the ANC recently which was passed with 100 votes for the motion and 93 against.

The election of a mayor was postponed last week to today.
