City of Ekurhuleni warns public about job scam

The City emphasised that its job application process is not conducted through social media platforms or social media messaging.

The City of Ekurhuleni is warning the public to beware of job scam messages that are being sent through social media messaging purporting to be from the City.

The scam invites people to present themselves at the municipal offices in Germiston for medical tests.

The City reiterates that its job application process is not conducted through social media platforms or social media messaging. Its positions are strictly advertised on its website: www.ekurhuleni.gov.za/vacancies where both permanent, temporal and fixed-term vacancies are advertised.

The City urges the public to be vigilant. Report fraud and corruption on 0800 102 201.
