EMPD uncovers drugs stash in car

The drugs were concealed in the car's centre console.

A foreign national was arrested by members of the EMPD in Brakpan on Saturday afternoon after he was found in possession of crystal meth.

According to information received, EMPD officers received a tip-off about a man selling drugs from his vehicle along Voortrekker Road.

The car, a silver Toyota Corolla, was tracked down and the driver stopped.

A search of the vehicle yielded R2 810 in cash, as well as two bags containing 26 smaller bags of crystal meth.

The man was detained at the Brakpan Police Station and faces a charge of dealing in illicit substances.
