Help Rata feed hungry families

Currently, they are unable to fulfil the need due to a lack of resources.

Rata Social Services is a faith-based welfare organisation, rendering social services in four provinces.

The organisation strives to enable people to change from brokenness to wholeness through professional social services, and specialises in child protection.

The number and needs of families and children dependent on assistance has increased drastically since the national lockdown.

Currently, they are unable to fulfil the need due to a lack of resources.

Their 13 offices, one of which is in Brakpan, have indicated a need for 300 food parcels per week and it is heart-wrenching to turn away many hungry families.

With the assistance of the community, they would be in a position to really make a difference in the lives of many more children and families.

Their aim is to raise 300 food combos consisting of a 6kg veggie bag, a bag of 2,5kg maize meal and 1kg veggie soup.

You can support them by purchasing a combo on the We Can website for only R72 and make your contribution towards 14 400 meals.

Visit https://wecansa.co.za/product/veggie-soup-veg-bag-and-maize-meal-for-rata/ before midnight on Sunday, July 5, to contribute.
