Hospice East Rand needs your help

Hospice East Rand is appealing to the community to assist during this stressful time.

Hospice East Rand is taking financial strain during the lockdown with all their charity shops, including the one in Brakpan, being unable to trade.

This non-profit organisation, which provides specialised care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, relies heavily on the income derived monthly from their 10 charity shops and bookshop, and now needs help.

“The pandemic is affecting us in a very bad way,” said Brenda Bisschoff, administration manager for Hospice East Rand.

“No monthly income from our charity shops is having a serious effect on our finances and on our ability to continue to offer palliative care to our patients. ”

Hospice East Rand is appealing to the community to assist during this stressful time by making a donation to the organisation, no matter how big or small.

“Every rand counts and we would be so grateful,” added Bisschoff.
