Criminals prey on coronavirus fears

Community members are urged to be careful and attentive.

Brakpan police have warned residents to be aware of people offering door-to-door Covid-19 tests or wanting to sterilise homes against the virus.

According to police, this is a new modus operandi used by criminals to gain access to your home.

While no cases of this type of crime have been reported in the Brakpan area, the local SAPS expressed its concern and stressed there is currently no such programme in place.
