Grass in Dalview area not maintained

As a taxpayer and a member of the Dalview community, I find this completely unacceptable.

Warren Styane writes by email:

On November 30, 2019, it was brought to the attention of the Ekurhuleni Metro that the grass in the vicinity of the tennis courts in Dalview has not been cut nor maintained (reference number 74780/2019).

As a taxpayer and a member of the Dalview community, I find this completely unacceptable.

We are expected to pay our electricity on time to avoid being cut and are expected to pay our water to avoid it being switched off, but for a simple task of maintaining the parks where children play and families can gather for a picnic, it is not achievable.

On January 12, the grass at the tennis courts had still not been attended to and, in some places, the grass was well over two metres long – perfect for criminals to hide.

Why do we have to wait a month and a half for council to do their job while the community must pay?
