30-minute meals: Bacon cheeseburger pasta

This recipe is not only kid friendly, but easy to reheat if the family wants more later.

It is both delicious and nutritious and a must for an easy weekday meal.

 

You will need:

  • One packet penne pasta.
  • 500g mince.
  • Six bacon strips, diced.
  • One can tomato soup, undiluted.
  • Half a cup water.
  • One cup grated cheddar cheese.

What to do:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large pan, cook mince over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside.

In the same pan, cook bacon until crisp; remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain. Discard drippings. Drain pasta; add to the skillet. Stir in the soup, water, beef and bacon; heat through.

Remove from the heat and sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand for two to three minutes or until the cheese is melted.
