These fraudsters are not from Felicitas School

The school would like to emphasise that these individuals do not represent the school.

It has been brought to the attention of Felicitas School that there are individuals requesting donations for the school, with falsified/fake documentation.

These individuals are requesting not only items for donation (which they could sell), but also monetary donations for their personal gain.

While the school, which caters for learners with intellectual and physical disabilities, is a non-profit organisation and they do have representatives, parents and colleagues requesting for and on behalf of the school, the school would like to emphasise that these individuals do not represent the school.

The school adheres to the following procedures for donations:

• All donation requests are on an official, original letterhead. It will never be a photocopy.

• Representatives will have their personal details (name and ID) on the donation request letter.

• Representatives will produce a copy of their ID when requesting donations.

There is a section that needs to be completed by the donor which details each item/monetary value.

Before making a donation please ensure these steps are adhered to.

Members of the public are welcome to contact the school on 011 813 4142/3 to confirm the authenticity of a donation request.
