Brakpan Rugby Club’s first XV travelled to the Dragon’s Den in Pretoria on May 18 and finally got the long-awaited win that they had been threatening in recent weeks over Dragons Rugby Club.
The ‘Panne’ finally breathed some fire into their cross-border Volcano Trophy campaign with a 29-22 victory over their Pretorian opponents in Wolmer.

“It was great game from Man of the Match Phillip Barwise, Tabu Tau, Ruan ‘Roekie’ van Rensburg and captain Reg Müller.
“Our line-outs and mauls again worked well and our midfield is operating the way it should.”
PJ Beukes converted three conversions and one penalty kick.
The team will enjoy a bye this weekend, but there will still be rugby at Bosman Stadium when the SuperSport Rugby Challenge Festival comes to town on May 26.
