Valke, Griffons, Lions and Bulls to play at Bosman

Entrance at the gate is free.

The SuperSport Challenge Festival encapsulates festive rugby as it brings together a blend of club and provincial rugby from four unions in the northern region of the country.

The Valke Rugby Union will host the SuperSport Rugby Challenge at Bosman Stadium in Brakpan, dubbed ‘the heart of Valke Rugby’, on Sunday (May 26).

The SuperSport Challenge is an initiative that is aimed at bringing back rugby to the community and giving locals the opportunity to support their favourite team in their own backyard.

People from rural areas get the opportunity to enjoy more affordable, easier access to the game they love.

The first game of the day on Sunday will see Centurion, one of the top clubs from the Blue Bulls Union, face the flamboyant running rugby of Phakisa East Rand United from the Valke Rugby Union in a Volcano Super Cup Series clash at 10.30am.

The second match of the day sees the two Gauteng giants, the Blue Bulls and the Golden Lions, squaring up for what will be an epic battle for bragging rights at a neutral venue.

In the final game of the day, the Valke will play against the team from the Northern Free State, the Griffons, which will see running rugby at its best, with two closely matched teams.

Entrance at the gate is free and parking is R10 per car.
