An employee at a company in Witpoortjie was shot in the leg during a robbery on Tuesday morning (yesterday).
Three men gained access to the Springs Road premises at 1.30am and confronted the victim, who sleeps on the property.
“A suspect armed with a handgun shot the worker in the upper leg,” said Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for Brakpan police.
“The suspects took a TV, a computer screen and clothes out of a box in the warehouse and then left the scene.”

The stolen items are valued at approximately R18 000.
Van Staad added that the victim was transported to the Life Springs Parkland Hospital.
A case of business robbery is under investigation.
