Brakpan police eye national award
In the running to be named the best in the country.
The Brakpan Police Station is one of six stations vying for the title of best in South Africa at the National SAPS Excellence Awards.
The award ceremony will be held in January.
Other stations in the running for the award are Hartbeespoortdam (North West), Springbok (Northern Cape), Margate (Kwazulu-Natal), Thabong (Free State) and Komatipoort (Mpumalanga).
Brakpan SAPS recently took top honours at the Gauteng SAPS Annual Excellence Awards and were named Station of the Year.
They won the same accolade at the Ekurhuleni Central Cluster 2018 Prestige Awards in July.
