Pet poison emergency kits available from SPCA
Contains the ingredients needed to help slow down the effects of the poison.
Due to the increasing number of dog poisonings in and around the area, the Brakpan SPCA has been working hard on an emergency kit for pet owners to use in the event their animals are poisoned.
In a combined effort and in consultation with both another SPCA in the Free State and a veterinarian, they were able to compile a kit consisting of all the ingredients needed to help slow down the effects of the poison and allow essential time to get the poisoned animal to the nearest vet.
A single kit, suitable for one animal, is priced at R30 while two kits can be purchased for R50.
