Mother’s Day tips for dads
Mother's Day is coming up and if your little one is too young, then it is up to dad to make it a great day for mom.
A little proactivity goes a long way when it comes to giving the mother of your child a helping hand that she’ll really appreciate.
Tidy as you go
Every time you move from one room to another, scan the room and take any rubbish out with you. Every time you go up or down stairs, take something with you that also needs to travel in that direction. Operate a “one in, one out” policy for toys and get the children to help you tidy up. Challenging them to see who can throw all their toys into the toy box the fastest usually works.

Let her sleep
Yes, the kids might want to run into her room and excitedly give her gifts, cards or breakfast in bed but moms want sleep. They are up early everyday getting the kids ready for school or making them breakfast on the weekends. Give her this one day to just stay in dreamland.
Take the kids off mom’s hands
Busy moms often find themselves spending any child-free time trying to catch up on all those other jobs that need doing. So, when a family member offers to take the children to the park for the afternoon to give mom free time, most moms will jump at the chance.
Appreciate mom
Deep down, moms know that you do, but it is so nice to hear it out loud. A few choice words at the end of a hard day can really lift her spirits.
Don’t buy her practical gifts
It’s a good idea to stay away from things like a brand new iron or a dishwasher when choosing a Mother’s Day present. These items should never be bought for Mother’s Day or any other special day.
