Car thief nabbed by task team

A suspected car thief found himself in handcuffs after being tracked down by the Brakpan Anti-Hijacking Task Team.

The team’s swift action also resulted in the recovery of a stolen car.

The car, a white Toyota Conquest, was stolen from an address along Opperman Street in Dalpark on Monday.

After parking the car sometime just before 10am, the vehicle’s owner discovered it was missing about 20 minutes later.

She alerted the Brakpan SAPS and her vehicle tracking service provider.

While one man evaded arrest, a 25-year-old suspect was nabbed for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
