Another brand new season will kick off for petrolheads when the Rockmania Showdown gets under way at the Rock Raceway in Brakpan on January 20.
To start the new year in true Rockmania fashion, competitors will be taking part in a full complement of oval track disciplines, including Ninja Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, 1600 Stock Rods, 1660 Modified Saloons, 2L Hotrods, Super Saloons, Standard Midgets and V8 Sprint Cars.

Die-hard petrolheads will also be delighted as drifters create clouds of tyre smoke in the door-to-door drift battles. Suicide rides for drift fans will also be on sale on the day. It’s your chance to get up close and personal with all the drift action.
Gates will open at 10am, with practice sessions throughout the day and racing proper starting at 3pm.
