SAPS on the hunt for house robbery suspect

Brakpan police have appealed to residents to assist them in locating one of the suspects wanted in connection with a house robbery in Brakpan North last month.

Four men fled with various household items after robbing the Biggs Avenue home on Thursday, September 28.

According to information received from the police, a female occupant in the house saw two men at the gate at around 1.30pm and went outside to confront them.

The men forced her back inside the house, while two other men in a black Mercedes Benz drove into the yard.

The victim was taken to a bedroom where the robbers bound her hands with a belt.

She was left in the room while the robbers ransacked the house.

They took cash, a TV, a sound system and two cellphones.

The suspect in the identikit is about 40 years old.

He was armed with an iron rod and is described as aggressive.

The suspect is short and slender, and spoke Sepedi.

Information can be reported to the investigating officer, WO Duppie du Plessis, on 011 744 7100.
