Die NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos hou vanaf 1nm tot 8nm ’n kersmark by die kerk, op die hoek van Lapping- en Boundaryweg. Talle kersgeskenke stalletjies en kosstalletjies sal beskikbaar wees. Kontak Alta Rudolph (083 396 7591) vir meer inligting.

December 2

A Worship by Neon Lights, in aid of the Brakpan SPCA, will take place at the Plaaskombuis, in the Brakpan Garden Centre, from 6pm. December 10

A Carols by Candlelight will take place at Mall@Carnival from 6pm to 8pm – in the parking area adjacent to the N17 highway. Lloyd Cele, Loyiso Bala and Nicholis Louw will be perfoming classic Christmas Carols, as well as a few of their own hits.

December 18-19

The Christmas edition of the East Rand Crafters Market will take place at 49 Aerodrome Drive, Benoni. There will be a crafters and food market, children’s entertainment, pet parade and much more. Entrance is free. For more information, contact Cindy Joshua (061 485 6058).

Tuesday

The Brakpan Homecrafts Society meets every first Tuesday of the month, in the St Peter’s Anglican Church hall, at 10am. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Jane Donker (011 915 2539).

A Narcotics Anonymous meeting for people who have a problem with drugs – or think they might have a problem with drugs, is held every Tuesday, at 7.30pm; at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church, at 74 Queen Avenue.

Sunday

The Just Wheels Car Club hosts an open day at the clubhouse, every last Sunday of the month. The club is situated at 169 Kitzinger Avenue, Dalview.
