International comedy hits the Big Top

Each brings their own unique brand of comedy to the event.

South African, Nigerian and American comedians will unite for a once off, not-to-be-missed, outrageously funny comedy showcase, Heavyweights International Comedy, at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, on Sunday, December 11.

The diverse ensemble of local and international headliners includes AY (Nigeria), Gina Yashere (USA), Thenjiwe (SA), Trevor Gumbi (SA) and supported by Tumi Stopnonsons (SA) and Nina Hastie (SA).

All established comedians in their own right, each brings their own unique brand of comedy to the event, with the promise of huge laughs for all.

In the driver’s seat, as host for the evening, is none other than the charming and equally hilarious Toll Ass Mo — a Xhosa comedian straight out of Tembisa.

Like many comedians who have gone on to become household names in this country, Tall Ass Mo is a comedian from very humble beginnings.

His material mainly comprises stories of his childhood, as well his encapsulations and observations of the absurdities that come with living in modern day South Africa.

Tall Ass Mo has made a huge impact on the local comedy industry, holding his own amongst some of the country’s best in a growing list of performances and appearances.

The show starts at 3pm, but doors will open early, at 2pm.
