Refuse removal should be back to normal

Brakpan residents can expect the collection of refuse removal to return to normal on Friday.

This is according to City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe.

The Herald requested comment from the metro after numerous residents complained about the non-collection of rubbish.

The problem was widespread and not specific to one area.

Gadebe told the Herald that the problem stemmed from “a few challenges with depot staff” – without going into further detail.

“The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to apologise for the inconvenience,” he added.
