Kyle Bouwer (14) recently won five medals at the Ekurhuleni Winter Championships.
Although Kyle lives in Dubai, he recently came to South Africa to visit family members who live in Brakpan.
He was then invited by Eastern Gauteng Aquatics to attend the Ekurhuleni Winter Championships.
The Winter Champs took place at the Boksburg North Swimming Pool where Kyle represented ONYX Aquatic Club.
He won two silver medals, three bronze medals and placed second overall.
His swimming results were as follows: 100m freestyle, second place, time 57:67; 200m individual medley, second place, time 2:24:29; 100m butterfly, third place, time 1:07:53; 50m freestyle, third place, time 26:67; 100m backstroke, third place, time 1:07:68.
