SPCA jumble shop moves to town

It is hoped much-needed funds will be raised.

In an effort to generate funds to keep up with the bills and keep the doors open, the Brakpan SPCA will open a jumble shop in town.

The shop, situated at 340 Voortrekker Road, will be rented by the society from June 1.

Books and jumble are currently sold from the SPCA premises in Withok, which is not easily accessible to the public.

By moving the shop into the CBD, it is hoped this challenge will be overcome and much-needed funds will be raised.

The society has appealed for donations of the following items for the shop: hanging racks for clothes on hangers, shelves for folded clothes, counter, petty cash box, receipt book, rubber stamp with logo and information (will be provided), ironing board, steam iron, kettle, coat hangers, small table and chair.

Donations of items of furniture, garden tools, ornaments, children’s toys, electronic items, kitchen items and even curtains and cloth are also welcome.

Send an email to riette@rapidspillresponse.com for more information.
