Two Voortrekker Road businesses burgled

A computer tower, cash and CCTV cameras were stolen from one company, while a sewing machine and compressor machine were stolen from the other.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A security guard on duty at a business along Rangeview Road in Dalpark was tied up by three men during a robbery.

The men confronted the guard at gunpoint at 3am and bound him with shoelaces.

Two microwaves and a cellphone were stolen from a building on the premises.

A spare wheel was stolen from a bakkie parked at the Sherwood Shopping Centre.

A school pupil was robbed of his cellphone at about 2.50pm while walking along Station Road.

The pupil and a friend were listening to music on the phone when a man suddenly grabbed it and ran away.

Burglars stole a television set, DVD player, clothing and other goods from a home along Gloucester Avenue, in Dalview.

A handbag was stolen from a car parked at the corner of Park Street and Kingsway Avenue.

• Saturday – A blue Fiat Uno was stolen from Kingsway Avenue.

A shop situated along Ergo Road, in Maryvlei, was broken into.

The intruders gained entry through the ceiling, but nothing was stolen.

Two businesses situated along Voortrekker Road were burgled.

A computer tower, cash and CCTV cameras were stolen from one company, while a sewing machine and compressor machine were stolen from the other.

Two burglaries were reported.

These took place at homes along Freel Street, in Minnebron, and Boundary Road.

Television sets, laptops, clothing and cash were stolen.

• Sunday – A woman was robbed of her handbag and cellphone by three men along Seekoei Street, in Leachville.

The woman and two friends had arrived home at 5.30am, when the robbers confronted them at gunpoint. The robbers fled the scene in a silver Golf GTI.

Two homes were burgled.

A tablet was stolen from a residence in Sheridan Street, in Dalpark, and a television set, cash, laptop and clothing were stolen from a home along Mulberry Avenue, in Leachville.

An orange Harley-Davidson motorbike was stolen from an address along Germains Avenue.
