The body of an unidentified man was found at Jan Smuts Park yesterday (Monday).
Brakpan police were called to the park at about noon and found the body near the dam.
The man was wearing blue overalls and had bruising and blood on his face.
Paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
Clothing and shoes, believed to belong to the man, were found in a nearby tree.
A case of murder has been opened.
