SPCA shines a light on pet overpopulation

An initiative between the Brakpan SPCA and a private veterinarian saw the sterilisation of 99 pets at the Cosy Corner Moth Club, in Brenthurst, recently.

The initiative offered indigent residents the opportunity to have their pets sterilised at a nominal fee.

Dr Lanina Moos , from Pretoria, even worked by torchlight when a scheduled power cut left most of Brakpan without power.

The local SPCA will be hosting a Mass Sterilisation Day in Tsakane on April 6.
