Legends Are Made dance competition concludes with a bang

Organisers described the competition as amazingly successful, with good supporters and participants turnout.

The second season of the Legends Are Made dance competition concluded on Youth Day, after two weekends of breathtaking talent displays at Woodlands International College.

The four-day event kicked off on June 8, continued on June 9, and resumed on June 15 before culminating in the successful conclusion of the competition on Youth Day.
The competition saw the best artists from four years to the masters section from across the country fiercely competing against each other in a range of categories.

The categories included:
June 8 – Freestyle, slow dance, couples, disco and rock ‘n roll.
June 9: Hip-hop, slow dance, open contemporary, lyrical, jazz, amapiano, acro, breakdance and pantsula.
June 15: Line dancing, belly dancing, vocals and song and dance.
June 16: International ballroom; Latin-American rhythm/smooth pro-am.

The winners received acknowledgement with their respective prizes, which included cash prizes for selected sections, a holiday trip, and many other prizes and vouchers.

Professional dancers and Legends Are Made founders Duerell Delano de Pontes of Benoni and Chanel Jacobs of Boksburg organised the competition.
The organisers described the competition as amazingly successful, with good supporters and participants turnout on all the days of the events.
