Toyota Hilux – the top dog of bakkies

The demand is high, and buyers are prepared to pay top dollar for mint condition preowned and new Hilux bakkies.

Toyota knows its customers. They have ruled the rankings for more than 40 years, and they are quick to respond to new trends and demands. And now they have applied some key elements to their bakkies.

Xtra features for the Xtra Cab

The Xtra Cab Legend grade now includes Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 2.0.

This active safety system incorporates a pre-collision system (PCS), high-speed-range adaptive cruise control (ACC) and lane departure alert (LDA). TSS operation can be adjusted via dedicated steering switches or via the multi-information display (MID). As part of the spec upgrade, the exterior mirrors now also incorporate a welcome light feature (as with double-cab Legend models).

Legend grade alignment – double cab

All double-cab Legend models now boast the same specification level (including 4×2 variants that previously omitted the JBL audio). This includes a power-adjustable driver seat, leather interior, Toyota Safety Sense (pre-crash system, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control), JBL premium nine-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control and smart entry system.

Raised body auto models

Raised body auto transmission models (Raider and Legend) now come with an automatic transmission temperature warning.

Pricing includes a nine-service/90 000km service plan, standard on all Hilux models, service intervals of 12 months/10 000km, and a three-year/100 000km warranty, and additional service and warranty plan extensions can be purchased from your nearest Toyota dealer (220 outlets nationwide).
