Boksburg FC U7 beat Corinthians FC on home soil

Boksburg FC proved to be stronger in the football match.

The Blues U7 team beat their arch-rivals, Corinthians FC, 3-0 in their second encounter in the League One division at Prince George Stadium on July 2.

Blues kicked off the match with a direct offensive approach and their attacking style of play paid off in the 30th second of the match. Their talisman, Eli Kotzen, scored from a good interchange of play, between him and his striking partner Sihle Nsimande.

After the goal, the team from Germiston, Corinthians FC, was not fazed. Instead, it applied pressure on the home side attempting to equalise. The home side absorbed the pressure and tried several counterattacks that proved futile.

The home side’s coaches introduced several substitutes after seeing their team on the back foot and their decision almost yielded good results as one of the substitutes, Doran Rogers, had a golden opportunity against the Corinthians FC goalkeeper but failed to capitalise.

Corinthians FC reiterated that missed opportunity, but their striker couldn’t punish the home side. Nsimande who proved a handful for the away side’s defenders also failed to punish the away side at the dying moments of the first half, after his shot went wide.

At the beginning of the second half, Boksburg FC continued where it left off, but couldn’t be clinical where it mattered most. Both teams were attacking each other during the second half. However the coaches of Boksburg FC introduced another player, midfielder Leo Johnston, who was effective immediately after his introduction.

Johnston was more offensive and Boksburg FC became more expressive with the ball possession in their favour.
Five minutes into the second half Boksburg FC increased its tally to 2-0.

Kotzen tried to increase the tally of the home side as he dribbled past the two defenders of Corinthians FC and produced a long-range shot, but his shot went over the Corinthians FC goal post. After the magical moment, the score remained 2-0, Boksburg FC leading in the match.

Nsimande sealed the match when he scored the final and third goal for Boksburg FC during the dying stages of the match.
