Local in the run for Bare Beauty Mrs South Africa title
Barbara Mac Vay (48) from Ravensklip was recently announced as a Bare Beauty Mrs South Africa 2022 semi-finalist.
She said she feels touched by the achievement.
“I didn’t think I will get into the finals because I am a curvy woman. Then I also remember a valuable lesson that in this journey I want to achieve. I want to encourage every curvy woman to never hide her curves,” said Mac Vay.
“Never question if you’re good enough because you are more than enough. Never question if you are worthy of being loved because you are. You are a glorious, beautiful woman. The texture of your hair, the shape of your curves, the size of your lips, the colour of your skin and the feelings you have are worthy. Be you, never someone you are not.
“I’m facing a lot of obstacles being voluptuous.
“Many people look the other way because as a Mrs SA semi-finalist we have goals to reach and being curvy makes my journey so much more difficult,” said the wife, mother and grandmother.
