Athletes stand a good chance in Italy

The Goju Karate Academy (GKA) in Parkrand made a clean sweep at the World Union of Karate-Do Federation’s (WUKF) South Africa regional tournament.

The event, which was held in Pretoria, saw 12 dojos competing at such a prestigious tournament for the first time in two years.

GKA boasted with 48 athletes participating and scooped 73 medals – 22 gold, 22 silver and 29 bronze in both the kata and kumite events.
