Aspiring actor lands role in new drama series

Ncube wants to take his acting career to greater heights and hopefully act in America.

A young aspiring actor, Thabo Ncube, is thrilled to be part of the acting cast of a new drama series dubbed Isinqumo Sami.

In an interview with the Advertiser, Ncube pointed out he was a bit hesitant to take on his acting career at first, but he eventually fell in love with acting and decided to go for it after being given several acting roles in his church’s theatre plays by his drama teacher, Katlego Sethloade.

He said Sethloade made him realise his acting talent and helped him to hone it by including him in most of his plays.

He added he attended a six-month acting course at Wonderland Pictures, an acting and TV production school.

Ncube said he is glad his hard work is finally yielding good results.

“I have scooped my first acting role and I’m very excited. I have worked hard for this moment. I went to leave a mark in the acting industry; this is just the beginning of the great things to come.

“Isinqumo Sami will be televised this year in September on Hope TV channel on DStv 346. We are going to shoot the second season of that drama series this year in June,” said Ncube.

Ncube said he wants to take his acting career to greater heights and hopefully act abroad, in America.

“I want to be included in the ‘hall of fame’ as an actor. I believe the experience I will gain along the way in my craft will put me on that path.

“As an actor, I have also realised you have to be creative when you embody a character.

“I’m also trying to get other acting roles. I have already been to three auditions so far this year. I have gone to Ferguson Productions for a role on a drama series called The Queen and other TV production companies that held auditions for Musical Field and NAVF.”

Ncube is also a musician and plans to release his first EP dubbed Isinamuva this year. The EP consists of different genres, such as amapiano, trap soul, Afro-pop and RnB songs.
