EXCLUSIVE: Listen to Morné Lesley’s new single

Freeway Park’s well-known singer Morné Lesley (41) is about to release a new single, Pledge Of My Love.

The song, which is a Johnny Ace cover, is part of Lesley’s new album that he is working on, This Is Me.
“Pledging Of My Love is a typical love song. I liked the song and decided to record it.

“The nice thing about my new album is that there are a variety of styles and genres such as country, Afrikaans and gospel. Most of the songs are original. However, there about are six cover songs. This is the first time in years that I’m going to record original songs again.

“I just want people to enjoy the CD. With this album, I want to break away from Elvis Presley and show that I’m my person and artist,” said Lesley.

Pledge Of My Love will be available on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube in about a week.
The talented musician, however, shared a snippet of the song with the Advertiser.

Lesley is celebrating his 25th year in the music industry this year
In 1999, he wrote his first hit song, Always Be There. It went gold.
He has lived in the spotlight since with numerous television appearances, stage performances and the release of several albums. Furthermore, he worked with artists such as Steve Hofmeyr, Patricia Lewis, Little Sister and PJ Powers.
