Haggle your way to a great holiday

Bid On Travel is a brilliant initiative that allows you to buy holiday packages or action experiences on auction!

Founded in October 2020 to help prop up South Africa’s devastated tourism industry, the company works with game lodges and guest houses to bring genuine travel deals to the public in a fun, fresh format.

It does this by using Facebook to conduct transparent, informal auctions at 8pm every Monday. New lots are released shortly afterwards. Participation is free and no registration is required – you only furnish your details once your bid is declared the winner.

The accommodation packages up for grabs range from two nights for two people at a B&B to four nights fully inclusive at a 5-star game property.

If you miss the auctions, you can find stunning packages on the company’s website too and try to (politely!) negotiate a better deal using the “Haggle” button.

Exciting activities such as shark diving, river rafting, canopy tours and quad bike trails are also available to buy online.
