These simple and nifty hacks are handy to keep in mind when doing things around the house.

Use plastic clips that come with bread to separate and label your wires and cords.
Pool noodles looking worse for wear? Make a wrist rest for your desk. Mark the noodle where you want to make the cuts; then slice the noodle lengthwise at the marks using a utility knife. It may take a few tries to get all the way through to the centre of the noodle. Pull the pieces apart, and place one piece flat-side-down in front of your keyboard.
Make it easier to clean ceiling fans and those cobwebs in the corners by using a leftover wrapping paper tube as a vacuum cleaner extension.
If you’re working on a sloped roof, wrap rubber bands around your tools to help them stay put.
