What’s for dinner? Bacon, mushroom and pea spaghetti

An easy peasy hassle-free dinner idea.

When we think of comfort food, a creamy pasta dinner almost immediately springs to mind. That’s why we’re sure the family will love this bacon, mushroom and pea spaghetti. Comfort in a bowl!

Serves 5-6

You’ll need: 1 packet Royco Bacon Carbonara Pasta Sauce; 1 tablespoon margarine; 250g bacon, chopped; 250g mushrooms, sliced; 100g peas, cooked; 1 cup cream; 2-3ml black pepper for seasoning; 500g spaghetti, cooked; 40g parmesan, grated

How to:

Prepare the Royco pasta sauce and spaghetti as per directions on both their packets.

Heat margarine and fry bacon and mushrooms.

Add the peas, prepared sauce, cream and pepper, simmer for a minute.

Serve with spaghetti, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, a green salad and crusty Italian bread.

Tip: Ham can be used instead of bacon, but only add once mushrooms are cooked.
