Updated Subaru XV now in Mzansi, we have prices

The folks at Subaru are giving their XV model a nip n tuck for the 2021 model year.

Available in two trims; standard and ES, the updated Subaru XV spawns an updated lower grille design with added contours along the fog lights and bumper trim elements. 

The refreshed Subaru XV also features a set of new 17-inch and 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels while two new hues have been added in the form of a new Plasm Yellow Pearl and Horizon Blue Pearl. 

The XV now features the brand’s Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive) for the first time as well as a memory sear function for the driver. 

Also making its debut on the Subaru XV for advanced levels of safety and convenience is the Front View Monitor. The system forms part of Subaru’s Vision Assist suite of technologies which also include Blind Spot Monitor (BSM); Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB); Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

The Subaru XV remains a comprehensively specced vehicle in South Africa with a sunroof, X-Mode, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Voice-command, 4 x USB ports and the award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist technology. 

The new XV also sports revised suspension and spring rates for improved steering response and a more comfortable drive.

Powering the range is still the direct injection 2.0-litre Boxer® engine with 115 kW and 196 Nm of torque plus a Lineartronic CVT that also allows for a 7-speed manual mode.

Subaru XV models are sold with a 3yr/75 000km Maintenance Plan as well as a 5yr/150 000km Warranty. These can be optionally extended.
