Renault gives Triber several enhancements for the 2021 model year

The new Renault Triber comes with an 8-inch MediaNav Evolution touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

After being on sale in Mzansi for over a year now, Renault is giving its Triber several enhancements for improved functionality.

Available in three trims; Expression, Dynamique, and Prestige, the new Triber is fitted with projector headlights, roof rails (with a load capacity of 50kg), and LED daylight running lights.

The rear is fitted with eagle beak tail lamps – i.e. prominent horizontally designed lights that overflow onto the tailgate.

Inside, it is fitted with dual-tone trim and striking finishes, with the likes of a new centre fascia with sleek chrome edges, a stylish dual-tone dashboard with silver accents and a fully digital instrument cluster with LED illumination and sportier graphics.

The power steering now comes with steering mount controls for added convenience, with thumb contours and a gear shift indicator on the digital tachometer.

Aside from the 4 vents in the front row, an added super-convenient feature are the two independent controls for the aircon with vents on the 2nd and 3rd rows for greater occupant comfort.

The new Renault Triber comes with an 8-inch MediaNav Evolution touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Voice Command button and video playback on the screen.

There is also Smart Access Card for Keyless Entry and Stop/ Start functionality as well as a reverse camera.

Power comes from a new generation 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol Energy Engine with 52 kW and 96 Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with a 5-Speed EASY-R AMT.

Safety comes courtesy of ABS, emergency lock retractor, 3-points front & 2nd-row seat belts (side only) with retractors, 3-points 3rd-row seat belts without retractor, Pyrotechnic pre-tensioner driver seat belt, Load limiter driver + passenger seat belts, driver and passenger airbags across the range, front side airbags on Prestige & reinforced body structure.

To facilitate peace-of-mind driving, the All-New Renault Triber model range comes standard with a 2-year/ 30 000km Service Plan, plus a 5-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000km intervals.
