LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH
Enjoy a fun weekend at the Impala Park Community Market which runs every last Saturday of every month. The market is held in the open field located on the corner of Elizabeth and Ridge roads, Impala Park, and runs from 9am to 2pm. NOVEMBER 29
Hospice East Rand will hold its annual Candles of Remembrance event, which is designed to allow the organisation to, along with affected family members and friends, reflect and remember their loved ones who have departed this life. This year’s event will be held virtually allowing community members to watch the ceremony in the comfort of their homes from 5pm. The virtual evening of remembrance, which will feature music and lighting of candles, can be viewed on Hospice East Rand’s Facebook page. Viewers are also encouraged to light a candle whilst watching the ceremony. Hospice also invites you to make a donation to Hospice East Rand together with your own special message of hope, which will be displayed during the evening and listed on the Wall of Remembrance on their website. Donations can be made via EFT using the reference “your name and the letters CR” as the beneficiary reference. Email proof of payment together with your message to info@hospiceeastrand.co.za. DECEMBER 5
Girl Guide Gauteng East will be hosting a picnic and tea garden on December 5 at the Blue Forest Guide Hall, situated at 65 Van Rooyen Street, Morehill, Benoni. The event will start at 10am, and attendees can also look forward to stocking up Christmas decorations at the Christmas craft market at the venue. Entrance fee is R10 per person. DECEMBER 6
The Reiger Park police, in partnership with local pastors, will host an awareness campaign to mark 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children at Ramaphosa Rock Church. The event will also serve as the remembrance of the Reiger Park policewomen, Const Cynthia Monkwe, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her then boyfriend who was also a police officer at the same station.
DECEMBER 12
