Taking into account customer feedback and ever-evolving market requirements, Toyota went back to the drawing board to find ways in which they can bolster the value of the already popular compact SUV. The interior of the GX variant sees the addition of leather cladding on the steering wheel and gear-lever coverings, previously made from urethane.
The VX derivatives now come standard with Adaptive Cruise Control featuring all speed control as opposed the high-speed option used previously. This allows the system to operate even when the vehicle is moving at a pace slower than 40 km/h. This is furthermore complemented by an upgraded Lane-Keeping System which now features Lane Trace Control.
The RAV4 also sees an infotainment system upgrade as it now features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Vehicle occupants are now able to utilize multiple smartphone apps for navigation, audio streaming and messaging.
Warranty, Service and Connectivity
The RAV4 comes standard with a six-services/90 000 km service plan and a three-year/100 000 km warranty. A complimentary once-off 15 GB of data is included for the Toyota Connect telematics service and in-car Wi-Fi connectivity.
