Andile strives for the world to become a better place

Andile Daemane said it is important for the youth to be exposed to mentorship and guidance as much as possible.

For several years now Andile Daemane has been passionate about human development.

He still actively campaigns for the development of the youth in Boksburg. His hope is for them to be empowered to make something worthy of their lives.

Daemane facilitates the Unleashing the Leadership Potential (ULP) workshops that take place on a monthly basis in Windmill Park.

Maurice Radebe started the ULP programme years ago based on a love to help to identify, grow, nurture and unleash the potential in people.

For Daemane, it is all about trying to make a difference and addressing the growing despondency among the youth, especially with the high rate of unemployment.

“It is in my blood to help the youth; I cannot let it go. Somehow I find the strength to keep going on. With the workshops, we try to inspire the youth to take charge of their lives and their surroundings.”

He said the ULP workshops offer the youth further exposure to mentorship, as some of them are taken to the workshops held in Midrand.

“Our goal is to raise ethical leaders. This means leaders who are free of corruption and greed. We are looking for the youth to become leaders full of compassion for the people of this country.”

Daemane also works with about 50 young people on a weekly basis by coaching and mentoring them.

According to him, some of the youth have already attained success in life as keen entrepreneurs.

“My message remains simple: The youth must champion their own lives first and then try to take care of other fields of their life.”

He is also working on another major project that he hopes will address homelessness in Gauteng.

“This is the only country we have.

“If it goes down the drain what will we tell the next generation? We cannot carry on like this. It must a be a better place and a better world.”
