Egg-citing stuff in store for kids at Carnival City over Easter

The Easter weekend is jam packed with ‘egg-citing’ things to do with kids at Carnival City.

Easter egg giveaways, face-painting, egg decorating, puppet shows and jesters, circus performers, juggling workshops and an interactive petting zoo are some of the activities children can look forward to until the Easter Bunny hands out his last egg on the April 16.

Leading up to Easter Sunday, Carnival City’s main complex and Pocket Park will be a hive of activity, with the Easter Bunny making a guest appearance at the main entrance between 2pm and 6pm on April 14 and 15 and from noon to 4pm on April 16 when he will be handing out chocolate eggs to young visitors.

There is more excitement to be discovered at Crazy Ken workshops taking place every day between April 6 and 16 which will feature juggling, crowns and clowns, hand puppet, and face painting workshop activities.

Between April 13 and 16, a host of Easter activities take place including egg decorating, Easter basket making and an interactive petting zoo with rabbits, chickens and ducks.

Recently unveiled, the Pocket Park is an exciting, grassed children’s outdoor play area with modern climbing frames.

The brightly coloured, circling structures feature obstacles for children to climb and slides to zoom down while parents take a breather on one of the benches.

There is no cost to climb and play in the Pocket Park.

Other family friendly entertainment to enjoy at Carnival City include laser games at the Lazer Zone, go-karting on a simulated Grand Prix circuit, arcade games at the Magic Company, the latest movies at Ster Kinekor and ten pin bowling.

Outdoor activities include rides for smaller children and carnival stalls where youngsters can take a stab at winning prizes.
