The festival, in association with the City of Ekurhuleni, is a highlight on Jozi’s jazz calendar, offering a line-up of stellar performers every month.

Moya will hand over the evening’s festivities to renowned partners in life and music, Thabo and Nonhlanhla Mdluli. Steadfast in their faith, they are known together and individually for their gospel talent.

Raised in Kathlehong, Johannesburg, female vocalist Nonhlanhla participated in various talent shows at school and finally got her break when she won the national talent search competition called Reach for the Stars.

Nonhlanhla’s radiance on stage is complemented by her husband, Thabo.

Thabo is a double SAMA-winning singer, producer and television presenter.

Last to entertain the audience with a solo performance is Brenda Mtambo, who has worked with the likes of Hugh Masekela, Judith Sephuma, Lira, Jonas Gwangwa and many more.

The Durban-based songstress is best known for her talent in the Afro-jazz and gospel genres.

The evening will be rounded off with an exciting collaboration: well-known gospel vocalist, Nokukhanya Dlamini, who will take to the stage with Brenda Mtambo and Thabo and Nonhlanhla Mdluli in what is guaranteed to be a memorable performance.
