This will be the third time that the Big Top Arena has provided the stage for the live recording of this popular gospel DVD series.
Buoyed by the successes of the live recordings of Spirit of Praise Volume 4 in 2012 and Spirit of Praise Volume 5 in 2014, a collaboration of some of South Africa’s foremost gospel singers will convene for the live recording of Volume 6 on July 30.
The public is invited to be part of the exuberant gospel celebration, which boasts an all-new line-up of artists, including Benjamin Dube, Neyi, Omega, Tshepiso, the Dube Brothers, Women in Praise, and five surprise guest artists.
The event will also feature a new choir selected from auditions that were held at the end of June, offering aspiring new singers a chance to showcase their talent on stage.
“The live DVD recordings of Spirit of Praise are exceptionally popular and attract capacity crowds,” said Matthew Cook, the events and entertainment manager at Carnival City.
“We anticipate a full house for the recording of this much anticipated sixth edition in July.”
Spirit of Praise Volume 5 has received four Crown Gospel Nominations for Best Praise Song, Best Worship Song, Best Producer and Best Gospel Group and won the Best Gospel DVD and Best Gospel Group Categories in November 2015.
