Enter ’80s live band rock karaoke competition
Are you a karaoke king or queen who's always wanted to strut your stuff with a live band backing you?
Well, here’s your chance.
Boksburg Advertiser and Stone Studio’s International are giving you the opportunity to do exactly that and at the same time win a professional recording of your favourite ’80s song.
Starting on May 5 and every Thursday night for the month of May, Seven Side Story, the band that has been rocking the crowds on weekends at Revere (c/o North Rand and Herman Pieters roads), Boksburg, will be hosting an ’80s-themed evening that incorporates a live band karaoke competition.
Two winners will be chosen each week and on Thursday, June 2, the eight finalists will be judged by a panel from Stone Studio’s International.
An overall singer will then be chosen who will experience what it’s like to work in a state-of-the-art recording studio, as they lay down their winning song for posterity.
Whether you’re an aspirant singing sensation, a “sing-a-long rock star” at home braais, a legend in your own car or someone who’s up for new adventures, all you have to do is email your name, contact details and the ’80s song you would like to sing to musiceventsdanny@gmail.com.

Each week, one lucky Advertiser reader will have their personal song choice prepared by Seven Side Story for their performance on the upcoming Thursday.
Other contestants will be able to choose from the comprehensive list of ’80 tunes this amazing act have in their repertoire.
